Andrew Park
I have devoted my career to solving two huge problems in software engineering:
#1: The short lifetime of production source code, and
#2: The short lifetime of software engineering careers (few careers last past 13 years).
My goal is helping software organizations achieve more durable code and more durable software engineering careers.
• Post-Agile Software Engineering: Agile sprints produce high-entropy production source code that grows too complex to maintain within just a few years. I believe companies don’t have to throw away large amounts of code every few years. I specialize in helping companies create durable, reusable source code. Since 2006, I've formulated and led post-Agile software processes at G3 Technologies with consequent business success.
• Growing Software Craftsmanship Talent: I teach that great code comes from great software designers, who must be grown from within the company. At G3 Technologies, I shaped novel systems to promote continuous learning for an entire software engineering team, not just a select few. By emphasizing relational unity, decentralized decision-making, and customizable career paths, I empower organizations to nurture their craftsmanship talent through a culture of engineering excellence.
I share my solutions and expertise with Product Managers, CFOs, Engineering VPs, CTOs, and HR leaders who want to level up their software organizations.
