Tottenham defender Pedro Porro has admitted to being happy with the rumours linking him to some of “the best clubs in the world” as uncertainty continues to grow around his future in North London.

The full-back arrived at Spurs in 2023 as part of €45m deal with Sporting CP and has grown to become a fan favourite at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium due to his very attacking style of play.

The Spanish star has proven to be one of the most dangerous full-backs in Europe going forward and across the 67 appearances he has made for Tottenham, the 25-year-old has contributed eight goals and 12 assists.

Porro has a contract in North London until 2028 but that has not stopped the right-back from being linked with a move away next summer.

Real Madrid are in the market to strengthen the right side of their defence and following the long-term injury to Dani Carvajal, Porro is one of the names being linked to the La Liga champions – although Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold tops Los Blancos‘ list.

Man City are another interested in the 25-year-old as they look for a successor to Kyle Walker at the Etihad Stadium.

In a recent interview, Porro has acknowledged these rumours and his words don’t bode well for his future at Tottenham.

Tottenham star Pedro Porro acknowledges exit rumours

Speaking in an interview with El Desmarque, Porro admitted to being aware of the rumours linking him away from Tottenham and essentially stated that he is happy to be associated with “the best clubs in the world.”

“My friends send me the rumours, it is a compliment… but I am focused on Spurs and the national team,” the defender said via Fabrizio Romano. “It is the result of a job well done if one of the best clubs in the world is taking notice of me.”

It is unlikely that Tottenham will allow one of their best players to leave next summer as the North London club continues to try and close the gap to the top of the Premier League and if they do, it will not come cheap for the Spaniard’s suitors.

A new video has emerged involving suspended Premier League referee David Coote which appears to show the English official sniffing a suspicious white powder through a rolled-up note while working at Euro 2024 this summer.

The footage was believed to have been taken on July 6, a day after the Euro 2024 quarter-final clash between Spain and Germany, where Coote acted as a support VAR official.

The 42-year-old is believed to have sent the clip to one of his friends and filmed himself sniffing the suspicious white powder in a UEFA-funded hotel room he used during the tournament in Germany.

On the bedside table alongside the powder are scattered packets of prescription drugs, a credit card, and the Terry Hayes novel The Year of The Locust. This paints a very bad picture for the English official after already landing himself in hot water this week.

According to Sky Sports, the PGMOL have confirmed that they are aware of the new video of Coote and the refereeing body are likely to launch an investigation into its legitimacy.

The PGMOL have also acknowledged the referee’s welfare during a tough week for the Premier League official and will continue to provide him with support throughout the process.

The Premier League career of David Coote is now in serious doubt

This new footage puts the continuation of David Coote’s career in serious doubt after the events of this week.

Footage surfaced on social media on Monday afternoon showing the 42-year-old making disparaging remarks about Liverpool and their former manager Jürgen Klopp, just days after the referee was the man in the middle for the Reds’ 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Anfield.

The video showed Coote stating that Liverpool played “s**t” in a game that he was at and that Klopp is a “c**t” after a recent incident with the German coach.

This video is currently being investigated by the PGMOL and resulted in Coote being suspended by the organisation.

The new clip will certainly decrease the chances of a positive outcome for the English official, who is likely to know his faith before the Premier League gets back underway after the international break.

Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush has reportedly come to the conclusion that he would love to play for Liverpool next season and follow in the footsteps of fellow Egyptian Mohamed Salah.

The Bundesliga forward is one of Europe’s most in-form players as the 25-year-old has started the 2024/25 campaign on fire. Marmoush has produced 14 goals and 10 assists across 16 matches in all competitions, which has helped Frankfurt up to third in the league standings.

This has naturally resulted in the Egypt international being linked to a bigger club and in recent weeks, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have been the two teams tipped to sign the player in 2025.

According to German outlet BILD, Liverpool have already started talks with Marmoush over a move next summer and state that the transfer process has already been initiated.

It is also stated that the forward has concluded that playing at Anfield would be a dream for him and that the Merseyside outfit are currently the favourites when it comes to where the Bundesliga star will land in 2025.

Liverpool need to pay €60m to land Omar Marmoush in 2025

Marmoush has a contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2027 but that will not matter should a club arrive with a bid between €50m/€60m for the Egypt international, reports Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg

This is a reasonable price for a player scoring at the rate the 25-year-old is but it is hard to see where the Egyptian fits into Arne Slot’s team given their current options. However, should Salah depart Anfield at the end of the season, that could see Luis Diaz move to the right, which would open up a space for Marmoush on the left.

Like several other forwards at the Reds, the Frankfurt star can play out wide and through the middle, which is certainly an attraction for the Merseyside club as the Bundesliga talent waits for the Premier League giants to make their move.

New Man United boss Ruben Amorim would like to go out for a meal with club legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson and Roy Keane during the opening phase of his Old Trafford reign as the Portuguese coach believes it will help to quickly adapt to the culture of the club.

The start of the 2024/25 campaign has been very underwhelming for Man United as the Red Devils sit 13th in the Premier League table after 11 matches while winning just one of their four Europa League games.

Erik ten Hag lost his job as United manager as a result but the writing was on the from the previous season as the Manchester club looked to be going nowhere under the Dutch coach’s guidance.

The Premier League giants’ board should have pulled the plug on the 54-year-old’s time at Old Trafford during the summer but they opted to stick it out with Ten Hag, but things did not improve.

INEOS got their man in Ruben Amorim to replace the former Ajax boss and the Portuguese boss has begun work in Manchester this week. The 39-year-old will get to know some of his squad during the international break before the big names on his team return as the new Man United coach prepares for his first game against Ipswich Town.

Ruben Amorim believes Roy Keane can help him settle at Man United

The jump up from Sporting CP to Man United is a big one for Amorim as the Manchester club are one of the most talked about teams on the planet. The Premier League giants are heavily scrutinised and that is a challenge for the young coach to deal with.

According to the Daily Star, Amorim would like to meet club legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson and Roy Keane for a meal to learn more about the culture of Man United, which could be of benefit.

These two figures have won the biggest trophies at Old Trafford and the Portuguese coach could learn a lot from a chat with either man.

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has been told to consider dropping Ollie Watkins ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace after the international break as the striker has not scored for the Birmingham club in any of their last five matches.

Villa are currently going through a tough period of form having lost their last four matches, which has seen them drop from fourth to ninth in the Premier League standings and eliminated from the EFL Cup.

Emery’s side will look to get their campaign back on track after the international break as there are many winnable games on the horizon.

Aston Villa host Crystal Palace on November 23 and ahead of that match at Villa Park, BBC pundit Nigel Reo-Coker has advised Emery to bench Watkins so he can “regain energy and fire” ahead of the busy Christmas period of the season.

“I like Morgan Rogers in that number 10 role. You talk about, obviously, Jhon Duran, the impact he’s had coming off as a sub,” the former Villa star said on the Premier League Review show. “I still think Ollie Watkins is there. Maybe it might be time to give Ollie Watkins a little bit of a rest, just to regain that energy and that fire.”

Should Jhon Duran replace Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa?

Watkins’ start to the season was compromised due to his participation at Euro 2024 with England this summer but after a slow start, the 28-year-old eventually returned to the form he showed throughout the 2023/24 campaign –  which attracted interest from Man United.

The striker has produced five goals and three assists across 15 matches this season but the Englishman has not gone five games without scoring.

The form of Jhon Duran will be putting pressure on Watkins but Emery should not succumb to the pressure of pundits and fans as the gap in quality between the duo is big. The Colombian’s time as a starting Aston Villa striker will come, but it should not be anytime soon.

Mohamed Salah has admitted that he wants to “win it all” with Liverpool this season in what could be the superstar’s last campaign with the Merseyside club.

The Egypt captain is out of contract at Anfield in 2025 and there is a possibility that the 32-year-old could leave at the end of the season, although contract talks are ongoing with the winger.

Barcelona are one club looking to pounce on the Premier League star’s situation ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window but the move is out of the Catalan club’s hands.

Salah has been with Liverpool since 2017 and has had a legendary career with the Premier League giants. The former Roma star has won every trophy possible with the Reds and on a personal level has racked up 366 appearances for the Merseyside outfit, scoring 221 goals and assisting a further 99.

The Egyptian would not have been able to achieve this without hard work and the winger’s elite mentality was on show during a recent interview.

Speaking in the latest instalment of the Reds Roundtable presented by Standard Chartered on the Liverpool YouTube channel, Salah admitted that he wants to “win it all” this season and that he hates the “idea that we are underdogs.”

When asked what his ambitions for the 2024/25 campaign are, the 32-year-old said: “Win it all. In my opinion, I work so hard every day, I hate the idea that we are underdogs.

“We have an incredible group… In each position, you’re gonna find players that are really one of the top three in the world.

“So, why we don’t win it? This city and this club has to always fight for everything.”

Can Liverpool win it all this season?

Liverpool have made a very impressive start to life under Arne Slot and the early indications is that the Reds can indeed win everything this season. The Merseyside club sit top of the Premier League after 11 matches and have won all their matches in the UEFA Champions League.

It will be a very difficult task to win the quadruple as no club has ever achieved that feat but it is fair to say the fans of the club would be happy with another Premier League title.

Liverpool have identified Ajax defender Jorrel Hato as a top target for the 2025 summer transfer window as Arne Slot looks to add a centre-back to his squad.

The Reds have been in the market for a new central defender since last summer after seeing Joel Matip depart the Merseyside club. Joe Gomez was also linked with a move away but a transfer never materialised for the English defender.

Liverpool would like to add a young defender who can play both centrally and out wide and according to Graeme Bailey, Ajax’s Jorrel Hato has been identified as the top target.

The 18-year-old would provide backup across the entire backline for Slot but primarily for Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk. The youngster may be viewed as the long-term successor to the latter as the Dutch star is set to turn 34 next year.

The signing of Hato would be a big coup for Liverpool as the Ajax star’s progress in Amsterdam is being tracked by several of Europe’s big clubs, one of which is Arsenal. It was also reported recently that Chelsea are interested in the young centre-back.

Will Ajax’s Jorrel Hato make a move to the Premier League next summer?

Hato has a contract with Ajax until 2028 but the likelihood of the 18-year-old moving to the Premier League next summer is high.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal have been tracking the defender for some time and when Jurrien Timber was signed by the Gunners last summer, the qualities that attracted Mikel Arteta to the player included his bravery and ability in possession — not only passing but also carrying.

Those traits are evident in Hato, hence, the North London club’s attraction. The centre-back also chips in with goal contributions and this season, he has already provided three goals and four assists across 20 matches in all competitions.

Arsenal will provide Liverpool with stiff competition in the race for the Ajax star and only time will tell where the next chapter of Hato’s career will take place.

Arsenal have been handed a fresh injury blow as Ben White has undergone a minor knee procedure during the international break.

According to The Standard, the 27-year-old has been playing through the pain in recent weeks, which could be linked back to the knee issue he suffered earlier in the campaign which forced the defender to miss games against PSG, Leicester Southampton and Bolton.

With the football calendar entering an international window, it has been decided that this period was the best time for White to resolve his issue, but it remains to be seen how long it will keep the Englishman out of action.

Should it prove to be a significant amount of time, this would be a major blow for Mikel Arteta as White is a key player for the Spaniard’s side having started 12 games for the Gunners so far.

The 27-year-old is predominately used as a right-back but when needed, the former Brighton star can play as a central defender, which is useful given Arsenal’s recent injury woes.

Ben White injury is another major blow for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta

White’s injury and potential absence is another major setback for Arsenal in a season where the Gunners have suffered a lot from injuries to key stars.

Arteta is already without Riccardo Calafiori and Takehiro Tomiyasu in his backline, while the Spanish coach also witnessed Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka pick up fitness issues during Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Chelsea, with the duo subsequently pulling out of the England squad.

The North London club have had to deal with these problems throughout the opening phase of the 2024/25 campaign and It certainly has affected their start to the current term.

Arsenal are nine points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool and need to get back to winning ways when they face Nottingham Forest after the current international break.

Jakub Kiwior is ready to push for a move away from Arsenal during the January transfer window as several clubs have shown an interest in the Polish talent.

The 24-year-old has been with Arsenal since January 2023 having been part of a £20m move from Spezia. During his time at the Emirates Stadium, the natural centre-back has often been deployed as a left-back.

Kiwior has had some impressive spells with Arsenal, especially during the start of this year, but the arrival of Ricciardo Calafiori has taken minutes away from the Polish star.

The defender has featured just seven times for Arteta’s team this season, accumulating 321 minutes of action. This has taken his total appearances to 45, but it is not enough for the versatile defender heading into the January transfer window.

Sources told CaughtOffside recently that AC Milan are considering taking Kiwior on loan, while several other clubs such as Napoli, Bologna, Juventus, Villarreal and Marseille have also shown an interest in the Gunners star.

Amid links away from the Emirates Stadium, it is now being reported that Kiwior is ready to leave North London in January and the Premier League giants may already have a replacement.

Arsenal star Jakub Kiwior could be set for a return to Italy in January

Having only started two matches for Arsenal this season against Preston and Bolton in the League Cup, Kiwior is ready to leave the Gunners in January, reports Football Insider.

The report states that clubs in Italy are ready to offer the 24-year-old a route to return to Serie A with Juventus, AC Milan and Inter all linked to the Polish international.

It is uncertain whether these teams will push for a loan deal or try to acquire the services of Kiwior permanently. The latter is the more likely as it will allow the Italian clubs to see where the player is at before committing to a long-term deal.

An exit in January is best for both the player and the club, although Arsenal will be losing a useful asset.

Tottenham completed the impressive signing of Archie Gray from Leeds United during the summer but the youngster is already being tipped to return to the Championship outfit in January.

Coming off the back of a very impressive season at Elland Road, many clubs had an eye on the midfielder heading into the 2024/25 campaign. However, it was Spurs who would secure the services of the 18-year-old as part of a £30m deal with Leeds, with the English talent set for a big future in North London.

Given his age and the competition for places within Ange Postecoglou’s side, Gray has not featured as much as he would like so far this term.

The 18-year-old has only made five Premier League appearances, totalling just 41 minutes of action. Overall, the youngster has played in 11 games, which should be enough to help him develop.

It was reported by GiveMeSport that Tottenham are expecting several loan offers to arrive for Gray during the January transfer window and pundit Carlton Palmer has encouraged Leeds to bring their academy graduate back to the club to help them push for a return to the Premier League throughout the remainder of the campaign.

It remains unclear if the North London outfit are open to letting Gray leave but if they are, it would be better to keep him in the Premier League as that is the level Spurs want him to reach.

Pundit tips Archie Gray to return to Leeds United

In light of the report relating to Gray’s future, pundit Carlton Palmer has encouraged Leeds to make a loan bid for the 18-year-old in January.

“Tottenham are bracing themselves for a host of clubs to test the waters in regard to taking Archie Gray on loan,” the pundit told Football League World. “There’s talk of Premier League clubs and Championship clubs who would be interested in taking him in on loan. Gray is still well thought of by Postecoglou. He sees the 18-year-old as a very shrewd bit of business, and one which will pay off in the long term.”

Palmer continued by saying: “He’s highly rated, but his game time has been affected, he hasn’t had enough game time. He has only played 393 minutes of action in all competitions so far this season, so the question remains, will they let him go out on loan?

“If they do let him go, Leeds may have just missed out on his return with Premier League clubs interested. It would be a great bit of business if they could pull it off, but there will be lots of competition for the midfielder.

“I don’t think he’d want to go to the likes of Southampton, who are struggling, maybe Leicester City, who are just outside the drop.

“I think it would be a great fit for him to return to Leeds. He’s only 18, very versatile, as Leeds fans know, and he could play a major part from Christmas till the end of the season, by helping them get promoted back to the Premier League.”
