Liverpool are reportedly keen on the French winger Ryan Cherki.

The France under-21 international has been linked with the move away from Lyon in the past and a report from L’Equipe claims that Liverpool have enquired about the playmaker. The Reds have previously shown interest in signing him, but the player dreams of a move to Real Madrid instead.

He has a contract with the French outfit until the summer of 2026, and he is valued at €25 million. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool are ready to pay up for the 21-year-old. They could have signed him for a fee of around €10 million during the summer transfer window before he signed an extension.

Liverpool could certainly use more quality and depth in the attacking unit, and the 21-year-old would be a quality long-term investment for them. He is capable of slotting into the attacking midfield role as well as the role of a winger.

Rayan Cherki could be a useful option

Cherki will add goals and creativity to the Liverpool attack. The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be exciting for him, and he will look to test himself at the highest level. Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs around the world and they could provide him with the platform to push for major trophies as well.

Having a versatile attacker like him could certainly come in handy for the Premier League giants. They will be hoping to compete on multiple fronts and they need a deeper squad. Having flexible players could prove to be invaluable for them during rotation and injuries.

Furthermore, regular football in the Premier League could accelerate his development and help the Frenchman fulfil his potential.

It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds over the next few months.

Tottenham defender Pedro Porro has admitted to being happy with the rumours linking him to some of “the best clubs in the world” as uncertainty continues to grow around his future in North London.

The full-back arrived at Spurs in 2023 as part of €45m deal with Sporting CP and has grown to become a fan favourite at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium due to his very attacking style of play.

The Spanish star has proven to be one of the most dangerous full-backs in Europe going forward and across the 67 appearances he has made for Tottenham, the 25-year-old has contributed eight goals and 12 assists.

Porro has a contract in North London until 2028 but that has not stopped the right-back from being linked with a move away next summer.

Real Madrid are in the market to strengthen the right side of their defence and following the long-term injury to Dani Carvajal, Porro is one of the names being linked to the La Liga champions – although Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold tops Los Blancos‘ list.

Man City are another interested in the 25-year-old as they look for a successor to Kyle Walker at the Etihad Stadium.

In a recent interview, Porro has acknowledged these rumours and his words don’t bode well for his future at Tottenham.

Tottenham star Pedro Porro acknowledges exit rumours

Speaking in an interview with El Desmarque, Porro admitted to being aware of the rumours linking him away from Tottenham and essentially stated that he is happy to be associated with “the best clubs in the world.”

“My friends send me the rumours, it is a compliment… but I am focused on Spurs and the national team,” the defender said via Fabrizio Romano. “It is the result of a job well done if one of the best clubs in the world is taking notice of me.”

It is unlikely that Tottenham will allow one of their best players to leave next summer as the North London club continues to try and close the gap to the top of the Premier League and if they do, it will not come cheap for the Spaniard’s suitors.

Manchester United are reportedly set to face competition from Real Madrid for the potential transfer of Sporting Lisbon centre-back Goncalo Inacio.

The talented young Portugal international has previously been linked with Man Utd by Sacha Tavolieri after his success under Ruben Amorim at Sporting.

Amorim would likely do well to bring Inacio with him to Old Trafford, but it seems it won’t be that simple as Real Madrid are also in the market for a top defensive signing, according to Fichajes.

Their report notes that Los Blancos could face competition from the Red Devils for Inacio, and it will certainly be interesting to see what happens with the 23-year-old in the weeks and months ahead.

What next for Goncalo Inacio after Sporting Lisbon success?

Inacio looks like he could be a perfect fit for United right now as they surely need to think about bringing in a long-term replacement for someone like Harry Maguire, who is now out of favour in the MUFC first-team.

However, there’s also a lot of competition for places from the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt, and Leny Yoro once he gets back from his injury.

Real Madrid, by contrast, might immediately have more room for Inacio due to the Eder Militao injury problem opening up a space in their team.

Still, Inacio might also be tempted to follow Amorim after doing well under him in his career so far, so it could be that that connection will end up giving United the edge.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future looks increasingly away from Liverpool, with potential new employers, Real Madrid, proposing a shock swap deal that, whilst giving the Reds a player in return, would only seen them bank £21m (€25m).

Of course, the right-back could walk away from the club for nothing at the end of the 2024/25 season, and at present he’s shown no sign of putting pen to paper.

Real Madrid could land Trent Alexander-Arnold in January

Indeed, recent reports have gone as far as to suggest that contract talks have stalled completely.

Given that the player himself appears to have refused to comment on any reports surrounding his future for the most part, the notion that he could join up with fellow England international, Jude Bellingham, is gaining traction.

According to Defensa Central, Los Blancos are looking to sweeten a deal for the player in January by offering Aurelien Tchouameni as part of a swap deal to land Trent six months earlier than expected.

The report claims that, in fact, it’s Liverpool that are the instigators of any potential deal, bringing Trent’s relationship with his current employers into sharp focus.

“They’re in serious trouble” – Liverpool now “desperate” over future of 30-year-old that’s gone “under the radar” – Find out who here!

Arne Slot has already shown in the short time that he’s been at the club that he’s no respecter of reputations, and clearly, if the Dutchman doesn’t believe Trent’s heart is in it, it seems as though he’s going to force the issue at the earliest available opportunity.

Given how well the Reds are playing at present, however, losing one of their best players in the middle of a potential title-winning season surely doesn’t benefit either party.

Unless there is a real need for Liverpool to want to bring in Tchouameni at this point, a January move doesn’t appear to make an awful lot of sense.

It’s being reported that a combination of factors could see Real Madrid step up their pursuit of Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold this January.

The England international is nearing the end of his contract at Liverpool, meaning he could walk away on a free transfer at the end of the season if he doesn’t agree a new deal.

According to ABC, Alexander-Arnold is so far refusing to put pen to paper on a new contract with Liverpool, while Real Madrid are desperate to strengthen at right-back due to the injury sustained by Dani Carvajal.

“What’s the point!” Explosive Liverpool outburst suddenly makes A LOT of sense…

Alexander-Arnold is one of the very finest right-backs in world football, so could be ideal to replace Carvajal at the Bernabeu, and it seems the Spaniard’s serious injury could push Los Blancos to try to bring this deal forward.

Still, ABC also suggest that, despite this, Liverpool are surely not going to let Alexander-Arnold go in the middle of the season, while the player himself is also not expected to push for an exit so as not to sour his relationship with his boyhood club.

What next for Trent Alexander-Arnold?

Alexander-Arnold might not be on the move this January, but the fact remains that he still hasn’t signed a new LFC contract and that must be a huge worry for everyone associated with the club.

The 26-year-old is a world class talent and he could surely play for basically anyone in the world, so he won’t be short of offers if he does end up running his contract down.

One consolation for Liverpool is at least that Alexander-Arnold seems to be a top target for Real Madrid, meaning he probably won’t end up leaving them to strengthen a Premier League rival.

But it’s still a huge blow for the Reds as they now edge closer to losing such an important player for free, when he’d surely have an asking price perhaps as high as £100m if he were under contract for longer.

When Rodri got injured for Man City earlier in the season, it was immediately apparent that the combative midfielder was going to be out of action for some time.

A hush descended over the Etihad Stadium when the Spaniard stayed down after a challenge during the Arsenal game.

Coming as it did soon after Rodri had hinted that players could go on strike in protest at too many games being played – which could potentially lead to fatigue and injury – wasn’t the best timing.

Rodri replacement could see Liverpool seething

With City now having lost four games on the trot, there’s a clear need for the powers that be to authorise a move for a mid-season replacement.

According to CaughtOffside sources with knowledge of City’s transfer plans, the reigning Premier League champions are targeting a player Liverpool tried hard to acquire during the summer window.

Ultimately, the Reds were unable to get a deal for Martin Zubimendi over the line, but it’s understood that won’t stop Pep Guardiola ensuring that his club focus on the Real Sociedad talisman.

Were La Real able to resist further overtures from England, or indeed if Zubimendi again decides that he’d prefer to continue his footballing education in Spain, sources have indicated that City have other targets in mind.

Real Madrid’s hardworking and talented Federico Valverde, Atletico Madrid’s young star, Pablo Barrios, and Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson are all understood to be potential candidates who could add depth and quality to City’s midfield.

Clearly, the January transfer window can’t come soon enough for Guardiola.

The recent run of poor form has seen City slip to five points behind Arne Slot’s Liverpool side, with the Reds taking on all comers at present.

Guardiola will know that any more slip ups will likely be fatal to City’s chances of retaining their English top-flight title too.

Vinicius Junior continues to be linked with a move away from Real Madrid, and the latest club that is prepared to give him the option to do so is Paris Saint-Germain.

Since missing out on the 2024 Ballon d’Or award to Manchester City midfielder Rodri Hernandez, Vinicius’ future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been the subject of significant speculation. Clubs in Saudi Arabia have been following him for a while, and they see this as a chance to tempt him to join the vast number of big names in the Middle East.

However, it is more likely that Vinicius, who scored a hat-trick for Real Madrid against Osasuna earlier today, would remain in Europe if he were to leave Real Madrid. Chelsea are very interested in signing him, although it is not them that have made a move at this stage.

Paris Saint-Germain desperate to sign Vinicius Junior

According to Fichajes, PSG have launched a €250m offer to sign Vinicius. In their eyes, he is the perfect player to replace Kylian Mbappe, who went in the other direction during the summer transfer window.

Vinicius has shown no signs of wanting to leave Real Madrid anytime soon, despite the constant speculation. He may have missed out on the Ballon d’Or this year, but his early-season form for Los Blancos is putting him in contention once again to take the France Football award in 2025.

Alphonso Davies will be a player in demand in 2025, and Barcelona are one of the clubs plotting to take him away from Bayern Munich next summer.

In recent weeks, Barcelona have expressed in-house doubts about the left-back position in Hansi Flick’s squad. Alejandro Balde has had a slightly underwhelming start to the 2024-25 season, which is largely in part to the lack of competition he faces – Gerard Martin is his backup, although his performances when called upon have left a lot to be desired.

Because of this, Barcelona are likely to address the position one way or another. Alex Valle, who is currently on loan at Celtic, is in contention to compete with Balde upon his return, although it may end up being that a serious contender is signed by the Catalans instead. If that happens, Alphonso Davies would be the favoured candidate.

Barcelona eyeing up Davies, but they aren’t alone

Barcelona have been linked with Davies over the last couple of months, and Christian Falk has confirmed that Hansi Flick wants to be re-united with the Canadian international. Despite this, it is still Real Madrid – who are currently in the midst of a defensive crisis – that lead the way for the 23-year-old, whom they have been following for some time. Not only that, Manchester United are also in the background.

Davies’ future will be one to watch as 2025 comes around. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United can all offer pre-contract agreement from the 30th of December, which is not long away at all.

Amid a crisis in central defence, Real Madrid are considering a move to re-sign Sergio Ramos on a deal until the end of the season.

On Saturday, Real Madrid were left devastated by the news that Eder Militao has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament for the second time in 15 months. The Brazilian centre-back suffered the injury during Los Blancos’ 4-0 victory over Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the news being confirmed a few hours after full time.

Militao’s injury means that Carlo Ancelotti only has one recognised senior central defender at his disposal for the next couple of months at least, that being Antonio Rudiger. Jesus Vallejo is there, but the Italian head coach does not count on him, while David Alaba is still yet to return from his own ACL rupture which happened last December.

Eder Militao injury opens the door for Sergio Ramos’ Real Madrid return

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid are considering the emergency signing of Sergio Ramos, who has been a free agent since leaving boyhood club Sevilla in the summer. The 38-year-old is believed to be very interested at the prospect of returning to the club he spent 16 years at between 2005 and 2021.

However, despite Carlo Ancelotti also being keen to re-sign Ramos as soon as possible, Sport say that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is against the move. The reason is simple: he is uncomfortable about Ramos’ image, as well as that of his brother (who is also his agent).

It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid do go for Ramos, but if so, it would be sooner rather than later. In that case, he could arrive before the reigning European champions go to Liverpool on the 27th of November.

Real Madrid may have won 4-0 today against Osasuna, which was a much-needed result after back-to-back defeats against Barcelona and AC Milan, but the result has a blemish over it. The reason? Eder Militao suffered a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury during the first half at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Militao collapsed in the 26th minute of the match, and he was seen holding his knee in agony. A stretcher was required to remove him from the field of play, and Real Madrid’s worst fears on the matter have come true.

Diario AS have confirmed that Militao has ruptured his ACL, meaning that he will be out of action for at least nine months. It is the second injury of the sort that he has suffered in the last 15 months – back in August 2023, it was the other knee that was affected.

Real Madrid hindered by further injuries ahead of Champions League showdown against Liverpool

There is more bad news for Real Madrid, as Rodrygo Goes and Lucas Vazquez also suffered injuries during the match against Osasuna. According to Arancha Rodriguez, the Brazilian attacker will miss a month after suffering a hamstring strain, while Lucas is out for three months with an adductor problem – crucially, both will be unable to travel to Anfield for the Champions League showdown against Liverpool.

Real Madrid’s squad is being stretched thin, and especially in central defender. Militao’s injury, coupled with Aurelien Tchouameni – who has been linked with Liverpool – being out for the next few weeks too, means that Carlo Ancelotti only has Antonio Rudiger as a recognised senior centre-back option.
