Arsenal and Liverpool could reportedly be among the transfer suitors for Jonathan David as he looks almost certain to leave Lille for a reduced fee.

The Canada international has been a prolific scorer in Ligue 1 and it makes sense that he has plenty of big clubs interested in him, though it remains to be seen precisely where he could end up next.

David’s current contract with Lille expires at the end of this season, so time could be running out for the French club to cash in on him.

According to Tuttosport, Lille could accept offers in the region of €20-30m to avoid losing David on a free next summer, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus and Inter Milan mentioned as possible suitors.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are also known to have shown an interest in David in recent times, according to Ben Jacobs…

Jonathan David transfer: Who needs him most?

David might not exactly be someone at the top of many clubs’ lists, but he certainly seems like an intriguing market opportunity, hence the long list of names that have supposedly been considering him.

The 24-year-old is a clinical finisher and surely someone who could be an asset to a bigger club in a more competitive league, though it remains to be seen if he’s really the answer for someone like Man Utd right now.

The Red Devils need a major upgrade on struggling young forwards Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, and David might not be quite enough of a step up from those two.

Liverpool, meanwhile, might also benefit from bringing in someone more reliable than the inconsistent Darwin Nunez, though someone like Alexander Isak might be a more tempting option.

Arsenal also have some issues in attack right now, and David might take the pressure off the likes of Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz to score all the goals for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Vinicius Junior continues to be linked with a move away from Real Madrid, and the latest club that is prepared to give him the option to do so is Paris Saint-Germain.

Since missing out on the 2024 Ballon d’Or award to Manchester City midfielder Rodri Hernandez, Vinicius’ future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been the subject of significant speculation. Clubs in Saudi Arabia have been following him for a while, and they see this as a chance to tempt him to join the vast number of big names in the Middle East.

However, it is more likely that Vinicius, who scored a hat-trick for Real Madrid against Osasuna earlier today, would remain in Europe if he were to leave Real Madrid. Chelsea are very interested in signing him, although it is not them that have made a move at this stage.

Paris Saint-Germain desperate to sign Vinicius Junior

According to Fichajes, PSG have launched a €250m offer to sign Vinicius. In their eyes, he is the perfect player to replace Kylian Mbappe, who went in the other direction during the summer transfer window.

Vinicius has shown no signs of wanting to leave Real Madrid anytime soon, despite the constant speculation. He may have missed out on the Ballon d’Or this year, but his early-season form for Los Blancos is putting him in contention once again to take the France Football award in 2025.

Manchester United’s pursuit of a new striker has taken them to Paris Saint-Germain and France star Randal Kolo Muani, who could be made available for loan during the 2025 winter transfer window.

Incoming manager Ruben Amorim is likely to be looking for a new striker during the first venture into the transfer market. A reunion with Viktor Gyokeres, who has scored 23 goals in 17 appearances this season for Amorim’s Sporting CP side, has been heavily speculated upon, but he is not the only option that is available to The Red Devils.

A move for Gyokeres is unlikely to happen until next summer, and in the meantime, Manchester United need a new number nine because they have been unable to count upon Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee for consistent goals this season.

Randal Kolo Muani can be a short-term fix for Manchester United

According to Fichajes, PSG are expected to allow Kolo Muani to leave the club on loan in January, as their desire is for him to receive regular minutes during the second half of the season. Manchester United can see this option as being a short-term fix ahead of a possible move for someone like Gyokeres during the 2025 summer transfer window.

Kolo Muani’s career is in need of reviving. He was fantastic for Eintracht Frankfurt, who sold him to PSG in 2023 for a fee of €95m. Since returning to France, the 25-year-old has struggled, but he is more than capable of resurrecting his career at Manchester United, should he be given the opportunity to do so.

Aston Villa could lose their star forward Jhon Duran to Paris Saint-Germain who are showing genuine interest in the services of the Colombian attacker.

Duran is enjoying a brilliant season for Unai Emery’s side and it is not a surprise to see interest in hi services.

PSG, the French champions, are looking to sell striker Goncalo Ramos so that they can sign Duran from Villa, according to Fichajes, as reported by Teamtalk.

Not only in the Premier League but also in the Champions League, Duran has made a name for himself this season, particularly with his wonder goal against Bayern Munich at Villa Park.

So far, the attacker has scored eight goals this season, out of which four have been in the league, two in the Champions League and two in the League Cup.

The Premier League club are expected to ask for £80million to part ways with Duran and it remains to be seen if Luis Enrique’s side will match that demand.

Ramos has not offered much to PSG this season and his fitness issues have frustrated the Ligue 1 club.

They are now ready to target a move for the Premier League star who has played the role of super sub this season.

Aston Villa should get ready for interest in Jhon Duran

Not only PSG but several other clubs are ready to explore a move for the Aston Villa attacker in the January transfer window.

Villa’s Premier League rivals Arsenal are also reportedly showing interest in the services of the attacker.

The Gunners are struggling for goal this season after disappointing performances from Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard and that may force Mikel Arteta to step into the market for a new attacker.

Duran mostly plays as a back up striker to Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa and he might be open to a move away from the club in order to get more playing time.

Villa have been linked with a stunning move for Marcus Rashford, which shows they could be in the market to sign a new attacker.

Liverpool are now the favourites to seal the transfer of Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, who has also attracted links with the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle after his superb form at the start of this season.

The Reds are now being backed at 6/4 to be Mbeumo’s next club, with Gambling.com giving them a 40% probability of snapping up the Cameroon international.

Liverpool aren’t exactly short of options in attack right now after a superb start to the season from Arne Slot’s side, with Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz in particularly strong form, while Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez are also quality options up front.

Still, LFC are being linked with Mbeumo, and are now considered his most likely next club over the likes of Newcastle and Arsenal, while other big names like Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City also not too far behind…

Bryan Mbeumo is 6/4 to join Liverpool

Mbeumo surely has the quality to make the step up to a bigger club and it could be difficult for Brentford to keep hold of the 25-year-old while he’s playing like this.

Bryan Mbeumo transfer to Liverpool could be one to watch for January

It will be interesting to see how this saga progresses, but Mbeumo certainly seems like he’s going to be one to watch, and we can perhaps expect Liverpool to be busy this January after a quiet summer.

The Merseyside giants will surely look to address their squad and give themselves the best chance to build on the momentum they have at the moment.

Even if Mbeumo doesn’t look like an essential signing, he makes sense as the kind of in-form attacking player who could add new spark to Slot’s side as they look to compete for major honours like the Premier League and the Champions League.

Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are among the clubs showing an interest in the potential transfer of Boca Juniors winger Kevin Zenon, CaughtOffside understands.

The 23-year-old has been monitored by a host of top European clubs in recent times, and sources have informed CaughtOffside that Spurs, Villa and Newcastle are starting to show the most concrete interest in a possible deal.

The likes of Brighton, Benfica, Lyon and Napoli could also be teams to watch in the race for Zenon’s signature, with the Argentine likely to be available for relatively cheap as he has a release clause of just £13m in his contract with Boca.

It remains to be seen precisely where Zenon will end up, but Unai Emery is understood to be particularly keen to add someone of his versatility to his options on the left-hand side of his Villa squad.

Zenon can play midfield, left wing, or left-back, so could undoubtedly have a useful role to play for Villa in what could be a long and tiring season now that the club are in the Champions League.

Kevin Zenon transfer: Where next for the Boca Juniors star?

Zenon could also be a useful option for Tottenham on the left-hand side as they could arguably benefit from a better option than Destiny Udogie at left-back, while more options in the attacking midfield department could also be useful for squad depth.

Newcastle, meanwhile, will also want to continue to develop their squad and may feel someone like Zenon would be an improvement on the inconsistent Harvey Barnes on that left-hand side.

Boca will no doubt be keen to keep this important player, but it’s surely not going to be easy for them if he continues to attract strong interest from big clubs around Europe.

The likes of Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle could be tempting destinations for him, while even someone like Brighton would also surely be seen as a good stepping stone club that could possibly earn him a big move later.

Man United are one of three Premier League clubs alerted to the potential availability of Vinicius Jr, who has a €1bn contract offer from Saudi Arabia.

The Real Madrid ace was surprisingly not handed the Ballon d’Or, and petulance from Real Madrid meant they swerved the gala as a result.

According to Relevo, he has a contract on the table from the Saudi Pro League that is for five years and with astonishing remuneration of €200m per season.

Man United tracking Vinicius Jr

Though that would be an incredible sum of money to turn down, it can’t be lost on the Brazilian that the league is only the 72nd best in the world (TeamForm).

That same ranking has the Premier League at the very top, and to that end, the outlet have also reported that moves to either Man United or Chelsea are likely to be of interest to the player.

Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be interested, however, some bad blood between the clubs over the Kylian Mbappe saga is likely to see that move as a non-starter.

Of course, United couldn’t and arguably wouldn’t pay anywhere close to what’s on offer in Saudi Arabia, but what they could offer Vinicius, particularly if Ruben Amorim hits the ground running at Old Trafford, is the chance to play for another European giant, and help bring them back to the top table of domestic and Champions League football.

He would then have the option of conquering another of the top leagues in Europe or, as countryman Neymar has done, take the money in Saudi and kiss goodbye to any notice of ever winning the Ballon d’Or, which is clearly a trophy he covets.

There’s plenty of water to pass under the bridge before any transfer may happen, but the fact that he isn’t signing Real’s offer of a new deal at this point at least leaves the possibility of a move open.

Liverpool are among several teams monitoring Acraf Hakimi of Paris Saint-Germain as the Reds continue to look at their options should Trent Alexander-Arnold decide to leave the club next summer.

The right-back is out of contract at Anfield in 2025 and although the Merseyside club are working on a deal, there has been no concrete update regarding the future of the 26-year-old.

This has prompted Real Madrid to monitor the situation of Alexander-Arnold at Anfield and the La Liga champions are ready to move for the Englishman should he seek a new challenge at the end of the current campaign.

Another full-back in the Spanish giants’ list is their former star, Acraf Hakimi, who is also an option for both Liverpool and Man City, reports Fichajes.

All three clubs have expressed an interest in the Moroccan international ahead of the 2025 transfer windows but it remains to be seen if PSG would be open to a sale as the 25-year-old’s contract in Paris expires in 2026, which means next summer is the ideal time to sell the player.

Is Acraf Hakimi a suitable replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool?

Hakimi would be regarded as a downgrade on Alexander-Arnold as nobody in world football has the natural ability of the Liverpool star going forward, even though that is a big part of the PSG defender’s game.

The Morocco international is a suitable replacement for the Englishman should he leave Anfield next summer as the 25-year-old is good on both sides of the ball and has played at the highest level for many years.

The full-back has been with PSG since 2021 and has gone on to feature 130 times for the Ligue 1 champions, producing 16 goals and 22 assists over the last three years.

Hakimi is one of the world’s best players in his position; therefore, he is someone PSG will not want to give up without some fight.

Despite bringing in a raft of new signings in the summer, it would appear that West Ham are courting Atalanta’s Europa League hero, Ademola Lookman.

Hammers technical director, Tim Steidten, certainly went to town in the transfer market, and one of his decisions brought criticism from pundit, Chris Sutton.

West Ham chairman, David Sullivan, is also likely to be fuming with the German.

West Ham eyeing Ademola Lookman

Clearly a lot was expected of the East Londoners this season, but Julen Lopetegui has endured a nightmare thus far.

The Irons were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Liverpool in an earlier round, and so far in the Premier League, West Ham have won only three of their nine matches.

That’s seen them way down in 13th position with just 11 points to their name so far.

West Ham want Ademola Lookman

With such a financial outlay before the start of the campaign, it’s arguable that there won’t be an awful lot to spend in the January window.

Despite this, it appears that the club are still looking forwards and remain positive in terms of what’s required on the pitch at least.

According to Football Insider, they’re eyeing Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, the player who single-handedly destroyed Bayer Leverkusen’s dreams of an unbeaten treble last season, thanks to his hat-trick in the Europa League final.

They apparently face serious competition from Paris Saint-Germain for the player who already has five goals and five assists in 10 games this season (transfermarkt), and the outlet speculate as to why the Hammers would want a player who plays in the same position as Luis Guilherme and Crysencio Summerville.

If things don’t improve for Lopetegui and Steidten, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see either or both fall on their swords, and bringing in a new manager or technical director would almost certainly see the club take things in a different direction yet again.

West Ham United are unlikely to keep midfielder Carlos Soler beyond his one-year loan, according to reports.

Soler joined the Hammers from French champions Paris Saint-German amid a summer of intense player recruitment at the London Stadium as new manager Julen Lopetegui was well-backed.

However, the 27-year-old is yet to really get going in claret and blue.

Soler started a Premier League game for the first time in the 2-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday, but lasted just 45 minutes before being hooked at half-time.

The 14-time Spain international completed just 77% of his passes while on the pitch, while he was dispossessed twice, had just only 19 touches of the ball and lost both of his contested ground duels.

That means Soler — who earns £80k per week according to Capology — has played just 274 minutes in seven West Ham appearances across all competitions, failing to register a goal or assist so far.

Carlos Soler unlikely to make West Ham stay permanent

West Ham have a £27m option to buy Soler at the end of his loan, with a report from Claret and Hugh claiming the agreement was ‘always intended to be permanent’.

However, the same report says a ‘top source’ has informed them that this ‘zero’ obligation for West Ham to make Soler’s stay permanent.

The report goes on to suggest that Soler’s high wages and substantial transfer fee make him an unlikely prospect beyond his current temporary stay.

West Ham’s win over United leaves them 13th in the Premier League table, equidistant from the Champions League spots and the relegation zone (7 points).

Up next for the Hammers are two vital games against teams in and around them in the table, starting away at Nottingham Forest before they host Everton.
