It was officially announced in this week’s newsletter that Teresa Foster has stepped down from her role as Managing Director, effective September 12. Her resignation comes after a period of meaningful organizational progress, including the successful completion of a strategic affiliation agreement with the Project Management Institute. The following is a statement from the Agile Alliance board of directors.
Since 2022, Teresa Foster has led the Agile Alliance with a steady hand, open heart, and sharp vision. Under her leadership, the organization has not only navigated challenges—it has grown stronger through them.
During her tenure, Teresa has helped shepherd:
- 1 Strategic partnership with PMI
- 2 Premier strategic Annual Partnerships with Lucid and Gehtsoft
- 4 Agile20xx conferences
- 4 Board nomination cycles
- 4 Non-US-based Agile conferences (LATAM & Europe)
- 5 XP 20xx conferences (1 Online, 4 Different Countries)
- 45 (give or take!) board meetings
- Multiple new membership benefits, including benefits from Comparative Agility and The Agile Network
- Countless sidebar conversations and check-ins
- ♾️ Selfie photo opportunities
Her imprint on this community goes beyond the numbers. Teresa brought clarity, kindness, and a deep sense of purpose to every discussion. Whether wrangling logistics or nurturing big-picture ideas, she was always present—with a laugh, a spark, and a sense of momentum.
Though she’ll be stepping away from her role this September, Teresa’s legacy will ripple through the Agile Alliance for years to come. On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you, Teresa. We wish you nothing but joy, growth, and continued impact in the next chapter of your journey.
With gratitude,
Song, Kemmy, David, Angie, Bob, Margareth, Apeksha, Sandy, Cp, and Lenka
